Please welcome our new co-teacher (a student teacher from UCM), Miss Jefferies! We are so excited to have her in our classroom!
Hello! My name is Keri Jefferies and I am from Lee's Summit Mo. I have spent the last four years learning how to be a classroom teacher and I am very excited to start using what I know. I have worked in the Pre-K setting for multiple years and I am thrilled to start something new! As much as I am teaching your student, your student is also teaching me.
We reviewed addition to ten. Please help your child by asking them questions like "Isayah has some toys. Some toys are red. Some toys are blue. How many toys could be red and how many could be blue?" Use actual objects or draw pictures to help them solve the problem. We have started lessons on https://www.educreations.com/class/lessons/16149196/.
We reviewed all the letters & popcorn words we have learned so far. Please continue practicing sight words at home. If you need a new word list or flash cards, please let me know!
We created a new color book this week. Students chose one color to focus on and four things that are related to that color. Students came up with two sentences to write on each page.
