Students spend 25 minutes each day working on goals during a block of time called Jaguar Time. They may be practicing handwriting, writing numbers to 100, orally counting to 100, reading popcorn words, etc. I work with 1-6 students at my table on targets.
During Pathways, we focused on short vowel sounds. Students had a great time trying to figure out what was in the mystery box! Items had to begin with the letter of the day.
During our math block, we continued working on composing and decomposing numbers less than or equal to 10 and also teen numbers. We made bracelets on Friday to review all the different ways to make a number less than 10.
During writing, we read a new story each day and wrote about a specific theme.
